Guyana via Turkey
Non-Aligned Movement Monument
This pecular card come from my friend Neslihan in Turkey. She was cleaning out her non-Turkish cards and sent this one to me of a monument in Guyana.
The monument commemorates the 192 Conference of Foreign Ministers of Non-aligned countries held in Guyana from August 8th through 11th, 1972.
The leaders of this movement were the then-presidents of Egypt, Ghana, India, and Yugoslavia, which....as Neslihan pointed out, claiming that Yugoslavia under Josip Borz Tito was some how "non-aligned" with the two great cold-war powers of the Soviet Union and the United States is amazing since Yugoslavia was definitely in the Warsaw Pact!

Condor
This is an old card for a Boing 747 from Condo, a German airline. Condo no longer flies 747s. This plane is listed as registration D-ABYF. This plane apparently flew for Condo from 1971 through about 1979 or 1980. At that time it and another Boeing 747 from Condor, D-ABYH, were sold to Korean Air Lines in 1980. In 1983, D-ABYH was shot down by the Soviets as Korean Air Lines Flight 007.
The former D-ABYF featured in this card, according to various sources was eventually scrapped in 1996.

Hillenbrand Hall
Hillenbrand Hall is one of the newest residence halls at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. The hall, build in 1993, is one of the newest coed residence halls, with one wing serving male and the other serving female students.
The hall was the first air-conditioned residence hall on campus. It was named after a father and son who both served as trustees of the University. John Hillenbrand served from 1913 to 1947, while his son William A. Hillenbrand served from 1967 through 1975.

Aerial Card of Purdue University
This photo mostly shows residence halls at Purdue University. The photo is pre-1993 as Hillenbrand Hall (which would be located where the parking lots in the upper part of the card are located.
The red-bricked residence halls, most of which look like "H"s with a mens wing and a women's wings that you can see in the card are McCutcheon Hall (furthest north), Harrison Hall (second most north), Earhart Hall (center left), Shreve Hall (center right) and Merredith Hall (in the shape of an "X").

This card was a gift from my friend Diana on her trip to France last year. The card looks to be dated as from 1905. Oddly, the only thing written on the reverse side of the card is an address.

Natural pool of Pjucara Beach
I should ad that this is likely the card that has taken the longest time to get to me.
The user requested to send the card on August 20, 2014, but didn't send (and date) the card until July 4, 2015 - almost one year later.
The card arrived 357 days after it had been requested, so had it not arrived for another week or so I wouldn't have even been able to log it onto the Postcrossing website!

Bhutan
Bhutan
This card comes via a friend of a friend who was traveling in Bhutan, a very small Asian country between both China and India. The country is very rare in the Postcrossing world (only 5 users with a total of about 13 cards sent between them all), so this was a wonderful treat for my mailbox.
The card says: Popularly known as "Laughing Buddha" he is portrayed as a symbol of happiness, wealth, charity, and protector of children, the poor, and the weak.
