My Ravenclaw friend Whitney visited Hogsmeade (er...the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando) and took the time to send me this card via Owl Post! It even includes this awesome stamp right on the card.
This card from Fredricksburg Texas shows off the city's Germanic heritage. The card comes from my friend Chanele in Washington State on one of her visits back to Texas. The card reads "Named for Prince Frederick of Prussia b the original settlers in 1846, Fredericksburg, Texas retains much of its Old World charm and Gemütlichkeit."
The card features the pretender to the Russian Throne known as Princess Tarakanova. She died in 1795 by tuberculosis but was later claimed to have died in a flood two years later, as depicted in this painting.
