This card, dated April 17, 1939, is 75 years old today! I picked it and a few other older Purdue cards online for a project.
The sender of the card was George Wood, who was on his way back to Chicago and decided to tour the campus and then pick up an application, apparently to attend the university. Assuming he was around 17-18 when he sent the card in 1939, I wonder if he would have been drafted into the service once World War II broke out for the US in 1941.
