Crolan the Irish Bard, c. 1844 - James Christopher Timbrell (Irish, 1807-1850)
The subject of this painting and postcard is Turlough O'Carolan, the blind harpist at the center of the photo. This painting was on display in Chicago at the Art Institute of Chicago in 2014 for an exhibit on Irish Art.
