USA - Illinois


Creche, (mid 18th century, Naples)

This massive Neapolitan Creche manger scene is on display for only a few weeks each year at the Art Institute of Chicago due to the fragility of the various figures inside around the holiday season and is one of the finest examples of the artwork outside of Italy.
